Public is having NO TRUST on Government &
Government is having NO TRUST on public
Public is having NO TRUST on Government
There is consistent electricity problem, and everybody is investing in Inverters and Batteries. Where most of the people have one angle of seeing this problem with Cost, I've got a very different angle to share.
I'll take the example of Ulhasnagar. Approximate population of the City is about 5.5 lakh as of today. and more than 20% people have Inverters and Batteries in Residential and commercial places. That means atleast 1.1 lakh people have this infrastructure to save the electricity in battery from conventional electric supply and use it when they (MSEB) stop flowing that power in the wire. Being on the lower side average cost of installing invertor and Battery is Rs. 10,000/-.
5,50,000 x 20% = 1,10,000
1,10,000 x 10,000 = 110,00,00,000
After this rough calculation we come to a conclusion that it is 110 crore business only in Ulhasnagar.
Lets see what really is happening. So you have various problems at your home or in your business because of which you would like to install this infrastructure. You are ready to pay this hefty sum so that your everyday life goes on without problem and business is not having any hurdles because of absense of electricity.
What if your elder brother is having business of electricity supply and all he says give me these 10,000 and I'll asure you the non-stop electicity for next 5 years(keeping the billing amount separate as per the usage). Will you give him the money. Most probable answer is yes. Because you trust him, he is your brother. He will not fool you by taking the money. Now if this offer is given to you by Government. Will you give these 10000 to Government, so that they accumulate about 100 crore from one city and invest in Power plant. The answer is "NO".
Argument-1: "Everything you give to Government goes in the pocket of ministers because nothing really changes even after paying huge taxes"
Argument-2: "Who will monitor that Government is effectively investing in Power Plant, that power plant may not be well organized or managed and problem remain where it is"
Argument-3: "Where was Govenment when they passed a plan for free electricity for farmers? Didn't they had projection of electricity consumption for next 5 years?. It is believed although the policy of free electicity is revoked, but still there is no control and people are continuing to use it for free in villages.
On the other hand, lets see what is happening to the money you put in Inverter installation after 3 years.
Wiring Charges = 500 (no resale value after 3 years)
Battery = 6000 (life of Battery is less than 3 years, Rs. 750 scrap value)
Invertor = 3500 (Resale value of inverter after 3 years is less than Rs. 750)
======
Total 10,000 ( Value after 3 years is only Rs. 1500)
======
Did you reduce the electricity bill because of instaling this infrastructure?
"NO"
Did you incurr additional money for assuring consistent supply of electricity?
"Yes"
How Much?
Rs. 8500 for 36 months = Rs. 236 more only for assuring consistent electricity. Consumption bill separate
Wait we have not calculated the interest of Rs. 10000 for 3 years. What I am trying to say, if you would have not invested in inverter, you probably would have kept this money in fixed deposit.
Rs. 10000 x 6% simple interest = Rs. 600
Rs. 600 x 3 years = Rs. 1800
Rs. 1800 / 36 months = Rs. 50
Actual cost of asuring consistent electric supply is Rs. 236 + Rs. 50 = Rs. 286. consumption bill separate.
- Sulfuric acid fumes will cause irritation of eyes, nose, and throat. Batteries which are not sealed properly can be hazardous.
- Decomposition of sulfuric acid produces hazardous by-products like sulfur trioxide, carbon monoxide, sulfuric acid mist, sulfur dioxide, and hydrogen.
The question is why are you installing this infrastructure ?
The hidden, secret core answer is "Because you have NO TRUST on Government"
If you have TRUST on Government.
You will pay this money to Government and they ensure you consistent power supply by creating new Power Plant from that money. They will also show this money as deposit in your Bill and probably treat customer with prestige for having more deposits.
There is no hazardous stuff coming inside your house or business location.
Govenment is having NO TRUST on public.
There is power crisis and consumption should be reduced. MSEB had two separate commercial and residential supply lines of electricity. Currently there is mess of these wires going here and there with no classification anymore. By this mean they can not switch off commercial line during the night when most of commercial estabilishments are closed. People have bribed the last grade workers for moving these wires as per their convenience.
What if MSEB convert these wires to necessity line and luxury line. necessity line should go to basic appliances like few tubelights and fans. luxury lines should be used for refrigerators, air conditioners, Television, VCD/DVD players etc. After this MSEB should do load shedding of some hours only in luxury lines, keeping necessity lines un-touched. This will guarantee some power supply for full time.
They can't plan anything like this, because in the civilization where people don't hesitate to take power line from road lights (which is restricted), How will they stop them from misusing necessity line for Air conditioners. That will give birth to another mess. Govenment is having NO TRUST on public.
MSEB is not having even control on electicity theft. To curb the crisis of lesser revenue generation (because of electricity theft), they increase the unit price. If electricity theft is controlled, the per UNIT price will reduce because more people will start paying as per the electricity consumption.
